M.Sc. Philipp Gliese
Ph.D. Student
Philipp was born in Wolfenbüttel, Germany, in 1990. He obtained his Abitur in 2010 at the "Theodor-Heuss-Gymansium" in Wolfenbüttel.
He then started to study chemistry at the Christian Albrechts University Kiel in 2010. He finished his B.Sc. degree with a thesis about sugar based beta-lactams in the Lindhorst Group in 2014.
In 2015, he joined the Staubitz group in Kiel for a research intership on dinucleophilic boron-tin compounds. He finished his M.Sc. thesis in the Staubitz group in Bremen on The Optimization of 1,2-Azaborine Synthesis and the exploration of further applications in 2016.
In 2016 he started his Ph.D. at the University of Bremen. His research involves the syntheses of heterocycles of group 13 and 15 elements.
