Alumni Chapter on Cuba in Preparation

The Foreign Language Center of the Universities of the State of Bremen (FZHB) and especially the Department 10 at the University of Bremen also have a lot of interaction there as well as with a university in the capital, Havanna. These collaborations are about teacher training, a certification system for English as a foreign language, and the exchange of scientific personnel.

At the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, mechanical engineers under the supervision of Professor Horst Crome have developed a small wind turbine that can also be used in rural areas. This energy unit generates electricity and extracts water. Two graduates of the degree now have the plan to build and install further wind turbines on Cuba.
