YUFE Town Hall in Bremen
On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the University of Bremen will host this year's YUFE Town Hall in Bremen on 13–14 October 2021. With the YUFE Alliance (Young Universities for the Future of Europe), ten young, research-strong universities and four non-university partners are developing one of the first European Universities. The Town Hall will be the first physical meeting of the Alliance since the beginning of the pandemic.
"Everyone involved is happy that university leaders as well as staff members will have the opportunity to meet in person and exchange ideas outside the regular YUFE meeting schedule," says Sarah Wilewski, YUFE coordinator at the University of Bremen. "This will give new impetus to our activities, which we are using to test initial concepts for an inclusive European University." In parallel, the political representatives of YUFE partner cities are invited to the YUFE Mayors' Meeting in Bremen, where Mayor Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte and Senator for Science and Ports Dr. Claudia Schilling will represent Bremen.
