Dr. Philipp Volmer

Personal Details

Dr. Philipp Volmer is Partner at KPMG and manages the restructuring division in northern Germany.

Previous professional stations at KPMG are Berlin, Johannesburg and New York, where he worked as Director for the executive board of KPMG International. Dr. Volmer is alumnus of the faculty of business studies and economics of the univeristy of Bremen. After finishing his studies in Bremen and St. Petersburg, Dr. Volmer worked as a research assistant at the chair of accounting and control of Prof. Dr. Zimmermann for three years. His research topics were information benefits of extended definitions of performance accounting ("Comprehensive income") and the development of regulation in international accounting. Dr. Volmer received his doctoral degree in 2007.
