Jasper excites with his doctoral thesis

Jasper can now also join the ranks of the graduates, having defended his dissertation with an extremely good presentation. This was about dielectrophoretic particle separation.

This week, the Chemical Process Engineering working group went from strength to strength, as Jasper also successfully defended his dissertation just one day after Harm. In his thesis, he focused on dielectrophoretic particle separation and managed to significantly increase the throughput in such filters with completely redesigned setups. Dielectrophoresis (DEP) can be used to separate particles in suspensions, which is possible due to different polarizations. His work can make an important contribution to ensuring that DEP can be used on a larger scale in the future and that valuable raw materials can be recycled from waste; an important building block for a functioning circular economy.
