Within each faculty, an internationalization representative (Internationalisierungsbeauftragte/r) is chosen as the contact person for international affairs.

Faculty 8 offers two English-language Master's programmes in International Relations and Physical Geography, as well as several double-degree options in the Master's programme in Social Policy.

The Faculty's International Office offers the "International Module" on a regular basis during the summer semester. This module is aimed at Faculty 08 Bachelor's level students looking to take "General Studies" courses and visiting students from the Faculty's partner universities. The teaching language is English.

To simplify the recognition of academic performance abroad, the European Commission and Universities developed European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
