From 26th of April until 28th of June 2019, Katharina Friz visited the Institute of Economics, Finance and Management at Jagiellonian University as a guest researcher.

During this research stay, Katharina Friz gave a presentation about her research paper „Innovation and Crisis in Transition Countries“, co-authored with Jutta Günther at the research seminar of the Institute which takes place on a weekly basis. Apart from that, she had many fruitful work meetings and discussions with researchers from Jagiellonian University as well as Krakow University of Economics.

The research stay was funded on a competitive basis by the funding line “Impulse” of the Central Funding Center (ZF) at the University of Bremen as well as by the EU program Erasmus+.

The working group “Innovation and Structural Change” (Prof. Dr. Jutta Günther) closely cooperates with both universities – the Jagiellonian University as well as the Krakow University of Economics – for many years based on joint publications and third party funded projects, accompanied by mutual research and teaching visits.
