On May 22, Maciej Grodzicki from Jagiellonian University Cracow will give a presentation titled “Structural change in global value chains and cost-competitiveness – vertically-integrated analysis of the European automotive sector”. The paper deals with the question of cost-competitiveness of the largest European exporting economies of automotive products as a driving force of structural change. The automotive industry is a suitable example since its production is largely fragmented across European economies.

Maciej Grodzicki is a macro economist and assistant professor at the Jagiellonian University Cracow. In 2016, he won the coveted P.R.I.M.E. award from the German Academic Exchange Service which brought him to the University of Bremen, Faculty of Business Studies and Economics to work together with the group of Jutta Günther on topics related to structural chance and the international division of labour.

You are warmly invited to the presentation on May 22 at 3 pm, WiWi 2, Room F 2330.
