Second successful INNcentive Workshop

From September 27 to 28, 2018, the second workshop took place within the young researcher support program INNcentive at the House of Science in Bremen and at the University of Bremen, Faculty of Business Studies and Economics.

INNcentive is a joint initiative of the Stifterverband and the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics to support master and PhD students in the field of innovation studies. This year, four young scholars won the competition: Kilian Bühling (Technical University of Dresden), Mariam Haydeyan (University of Bayreuth), Bastian Krieger (Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) und University of Luxembourg) and Thomas Vöhringer (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology). During the first day of the workshop, the scholarship holders from the current and the last year had the chance to present their current scientific work and their progress to a broad audience. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Michael Hutter (Berlin Social Science Center (WZB)) gave a guest speech on the topic “Neuheits- und Innovationspolitik zwischen Intervention, Lenkung und Anmaßung”. On the second day, a methodology training on the topic “How to use a lab environment in policy decision making – the example of the European Academy Lab” took place. We congratulate the INNcentive scholarship holders, wish all of them success for the future work, and we are looking forward to further exchange.
