Excellent knowledge for better health and care in the jury of the Innovation Programme for Business Models and Pioneering Solutions (IGP)

Prof Karin Wolf-Ostermann from IPP appointed to an innovation jury of the BMWK (Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection)

Prof. Dr Karin Wolf-Ostermann, Professor of ‘Health Care Research’ and head of the department of the same name at the Institute of Public Health and Nursing Research (IPP), has been appointed to the jury of the Innovation Programme for Business Models and Pioneering Solutions (IGP) in the third call for better health and care. For the jury, the IGP relies on a good mix of experts who can shed light on innovation topics from different perspectives. With the IGP, the BMWK (Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection) enables the realisation of promising market-oriented non-technical innovations by small and medium-sized enterprises. Although new technologies can play a role in the projects supported by the IGP, they do not necessarily have to - what is important is the novelty of the problem solution. The IGP thus opens up opportunities for the realisation of a wide range of new ideas in various future fields. Possible ideas include creative business concepts, organisational models for social start-ups, new platform formats and many other innovations. The last call ended on 27 August 2024 and addressed business models and pioneering solutions for better health and care, for example innovative solutions to improve prevention, care and rehabilitation, new designs and concepts for inclusion innovations or ageing with dignity, as well as support concepts for sick people and those in need of care and their relatives.
