Prof. Dr. Karin Wolf-Ostermann is a member of the Institute for Public Health and Nursing Research (IPP) at the University of Bremen. She was re-elected to the board of the Ethics Committee of the German Nursing Science Association (DGP) with a clear majority.
The "Ethics Committee DGP e.V." was founded by the Ethics Section and the Board of the DGP as a nursing-specific ethics committee operating nationwide. It sees itself as a nursing-specific contribution to the spectrum of existing ethics committees in medicine, psychology, sociology, educational science and other scientific disciplines. The commission is intended for the ethical assessment of nursing and health science projects that do not have access to the existing ethics commissions or whose questions do not fit into the usual procedural grid.
The "Ethics Committee DGP e.V." brings together experts from the fields of ethics and research from different locations and disciplines within nursing.
In coordination and cooperation with the Ethics Section, the Ethics Committee conducts public relations and advisory work to raise awareness of ethical aspects in nursing research. It also develops information materials and brochures and trains multipliers.
