X-ray tomography, familiar from the healthcare sector, can also help museums: The non-destructive view into the interior of museum objects allows them to be measured, digitized and preserved for future generations. In her presentation, Pia Götz explained the digitization process from CT measurements to interactive web applications and the re-materialization of objects using a 3D printer.
Pia Götz studied Maritime Technologies at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. She completed her Master's degree in Environmental Physics at the University of Bremen. Since 2021, she has been working as a research assistant at the MAPEX Center for Materials and Processes and is part of the interdisciplinary research project "Digital Materialities. Virtual and Analog Forms of Exhibition". There she conducts computer-aided material analyses.
