European University Viadrina

At the European University Viadrina, the project work is carried out at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Polish Studies, the Faculty of Economics and at the Faculty of Cultural Studies. The economic historian Dagmara Jajesniack-Quast (Consortial director) leads subproject 3, in which the emergence and development of "innovative niches" in Poland in comparison to East Germany are investigated. In this subproject, the postdoc Dr. Falk Flade and the cooperation partners at the University of Bydgoszcz are involved. In addition, Dagmara Jajesniack-Quast leads subproject 4 for the comparative analysis of socio-economic thinking in the GDR, Poland, and Czechoslovakia. Hans-Jürgen Wagener and a number of international cooperation partners are also involved in this subproject. At the Faculty of Cultural Studies of the European University Viadrina, sociologist Anna Schwarz heads subproject 6, which investigates the entrepreneurial habitus dispositions of the upheaval generation in East Germany and Poland. The young researchers Dr. Anna Steinkamp and Jarina Kühn (University of Bremen) are also involved in this project.
