Dr.-Ing. Tom Koller
About
Tom Koller studied Systems Engineering at the University of Bremen until 2018 and continued to do hisdoctorate in computer sciences there as well. During his doctorate, he investigated in the field of sensor fusion how we can use prior knowledge to improve the measurements of inertial sensors. Afterwards, he decided to change to the medical domain which lead him to Fraunhofer MEVIS and now as well to the university group digital medicine.

I am a passionate for teaching and I always want to improve on teaching. I try to include students into my research via different thesis topics. You can find my current topics on our thesis page.

In this project, we use AI methods to predict the development of breast cancer based on MRI and mammography data from preventive screenings.
