Núria Pedrós Barnils is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Prevention and Health Promotion at Bremen University. She has a background in Biosystems Engineering, Public Health, and Migration Studies. Currently, she is teaching a seminar on Global Health and a seminar on intersectionality theory. Her research, framed within the theory of intersectionality, focuses on understanding, on the one hand, the population most at risk of not accessing healthcare services and, on the other hand, the underlying mechanisms explaining these health inequalities.

  • Intersectionality theory, specifically quantitative intersectional methodologies
  • Complex modelling, machine learning
