The workshop takes place within the framework of a joint project on the regulation of personal data in the eHealth sector and is funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. The Foundation already provided a scholarship for Prof. Makulilo during his stay at the Bremen Institute from 2014 to 2017 where he conducted research on data protection law in Africa. In 2019, Prof. Makulilo was nominated as one of currently six Research Ambassadors who represent the University of Bremen abroad and serve as contact persons for students, lecturers and researchers interested in a stay at Bremen University, thus promoting international networking in lecturing and research.
