International Faculty
Teaching and research at the Faculty of Law do not only focus on German law, but also place special emphasis on the international dimensions of law.
The international comparative law programme of the Hanse Law School includes the courses of studies "Comparative and European Law (LL.B.)" and "Transnational Law (LL.M.)". The State Examination programme also provides a European and international perspective within the framewort of studies in the chosen area of specialisation. Students can choose areas of specialisation such as "International and European Economic Law", "Labour and Social Law in the International and Supranational Context" and "Criminal Law and Criminal Policy in Europe". Courses in the English and sometimes also Turkish language are offered as part of the curriculum.
The institutes "Research Centre for European Environmental Law" and "Centre of European Law and Politics" have an international focus; international research projects are also carried out by the "Institute for Commercial Law".
