Managing partner of "wpd windmanager"

After studies of law in Marburg/Lahn and Bremen, I was one of the first graduates of the newly introduced two-phase programme in Bremen in 1989. Within the framework of the DFG Research Training Group "Risk regulation and private law system", I completed a doctorate on "Ecological aspects of contract law" (1994). Parallel to this, I completed my postgraduate internship in 1993. Admission to the bar in 1994. A focus was on legal consultation for wind farm projects. In 1996, I founded the wpd GmbH together with a partner. Besides working in a law firm in a team of 20 lawyers, I hold various positions in the wpd group, which has now about 2300 employees in more than 20 countries. In addition to this, I am  Chair of the Günter Grass Foundation Bremen as well as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BLG AG. I am still in good contact to my most important teachers at Bremen University, Prof. Dres. Eike Schmidt and Dieter Hart.
