Cultivating Exchange Between Core Facilities in Materials Science
With this workshop, we aim to connect people who use, manage, and coordinate materials science-oriented Core Facilities in European institutions.
Together, we would like to discuss and exchange ideas about:
- Scientific advances enabled by Core Facilities
- Roles and governance structures of Core Facilities
- Methods and software for managing facilities
- Data management in Core Facilities, e.g. common data formats or ontologies
- Public outreach
- Collaboration between Core Facilities, opportunities and funding programmes
You’re also invited to submit a poster showcasing your facility, which will be displayed in the break area to facilitate exchange and discussion among the attendees.
Additionally, we are organizing lab tours on Tuesday and Friday at University of Bremen specifically for the forum. If you’d like to participate, please make sure to indicate your preferred day(s) on the registration page.

The event will take place in the “Haus der Wissenschaft” (House of Science) in the center of Bremen.

Take the tram lines 4 (to Arsten), 6 (Flughafen),8 (Huchting) or

From the Airport:
Take the tram line 6 (to Universität) to the stop Domsheide (travel time: 10 min)
