CAMPUS PRIZE for legal scholar and biology didactics scholar

The dissertation of Andreas Gutmann was awarded the Campus Prize Research for a Sustainable Future.

The work entitled "Hybrid Legal Subjectivity: the Rights of "Nature or Pacha Mama" in the Ecuadorian Constitution 2008" was written within the framework of the project "Nature as Legal Entity" funded by the DFG, a joint research venture of scientists of ZERP and the Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales in Quito, Ecuador, on the rights of nature. In his eulogy, Prof. Dr. Bleischwitz emphasized the potential importance of this research for a ecologisation of law in Germany and Europe.
