Job and home crafting on Mars – and how it affects astronauts’ well-being and performance: MARSCRAFT

A comprehensive space simulation mission with the aim of expanding our knowledge of life and work in space. Simulations are used to prepare for real missions and gather important knowledge that will advance research. The project is supported by organizations such as ÖWF, Lunares, ISA, NASA etc.

Life support tasks under autonomous operation and under Earth-Mars joint operation (Staying Alive)

Research project as part of the analogue Mars simulation Amadee-24 in the Ararat region of Armenia, organised and supported by the Austrian Space Forum and the Armenian Aero Space Agency.

Long-term consequences of Corona-related cuts in working life for economic stressors, health and quality of life (CovStress)

Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), in the funding area "Societal Impacts of the Corona Pandemic - Research for Integration, Participation and Renewal" in the framework program for the humanities and social sciences "Understanding Society, Shaping the Future".

Team performance in a Mars habitat under various scenarios

Part of the 3-part seed project on "The living Habitat" within the MAPEX Cluster Initiative „Researching pathways toward a long-term sustainable, ethically acceptable human settlement of Mars" and in cooperation with ZARM and Sustainable Communication Networks.

"Artificial intelligence for healthy work in driving professions: Workload and Safety in Traffic and Transport (KARAT)"

Supported by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), as part of the initiative "Initative new quality of work" (Inqa) and technically accompanied by the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (baua). Project coordination: University of Hohenheim, Prof. Carolina Ruiner.

"Team Training Firefighting".

In the project "Strong together - professional team training for more safety and less stress in firefighting" we are researching how the safety of high responsibility teams in fire protection can already be effectively trained during their education.
