T!Raum-Region

The #MOIN transfer project is one of 12 initiatives across Germany being funded as part of the BMBF funding program “T!Raum" - Transfer Environments for the future of regions with the aim of establishing a sustainable and self-supporting model region for industrial mathematics in the coming years.

We take advantage of the short distances in Bremen and the region. The state of Bremen and the neighboring district of Osterholz with their economic and technological strengths form the regional kick-off: from tractors to rockets, from sports cars to cruise ships, from computer-assisted surgery to high-tech wind turbines on the high seas. Initially, #MOIN will focus on the region's automotive, agriculture, renewable energy, healthcare, logistics, and maritime and aerospace industries. In the medium term, however, all sectors will have access to the methods and solutions of industrial mathematics. The various networks and industry-related clusters in the region are supporting the project and providing access to their companies.

Other cooperation partners are the district of Osterholz, the Senator for Economy, ports and transformation,  the BIS Bremerhaven Society for Investment Promotion and Urban Development and other Bremen-based enterprises.
