Why do we need #MOIN - Model Region Industrial Mathematics?

Society often has little idea of the importance of mathematics not only for innovation, but also for our everyday lives. As a result, mathematical results often go unused.

With a variety of projects, we want to raise public awareness of (industrial) mathematics, make mathematics attractive again in schools and establish industrial mathematics as a driver of innovation in economy and industry.

That is why we have set ourselves the goal of establishing a sustainable and self-supporting model region for industrial mathematics.
