UFT - Centre for Environmental Research and Sustainable Technologies

Products and technologies for a healthy environment are the focus of the Center for Environmental Research and Sustainable Technologies (UFT), a central scientific institution of the University of Bremen.

As biologists, chemists and production engineers, we work in the joint research focus "Environmentally Friendly Nanomaterials" in fundamental and applied research projects together with students, postgraduates and postdocs who have been inspired by the interdisciplinary approaches in a productive and pleasant working atmosphere, and integrate this research into university teaching.

The wide range of disciplines of the research groups at the UFT enables the UFT to offer a broad spectrum of methods, both, internally and externally - from material production and characterisation to methods of structure-effect analysis as well as biological and technical test systems. Aim of our developments is to conserve resources and minimise risks for humans and the environment.
