The conference, which was organised by the WWF Germany and the Research Centre for Animal Rights and Animal Welfare Law, directed by Prof. Dr. Sönke Gerhold, was very well received by experts in the field and fully lived up to the expectations of the 359 participants. The focus of this year's conference was on the criminal liability for wildlife crimes and the associated enforcement deficits. The role of private individuals in the collection of evidence was underlined in different lectures. The Third Annual Conference on Species Protection law is to take place on-site, more details will follow in due time.
