Leon Marquardt has been a research assistant and doctoral student at the Chair of SMEs, Business Creation and Entrepreneurship (LEMEX) at the University of Bremen under Prof. Dr. Jörg Freiling since October 2020. As a member of the graduate group “Diginomics”, his research focuses on the interfaces of digitalization and entrepreneurship, with a focus on Entrepreneurial Ecosystems, Digital Entrepreneurship and Rural Entrepreneurship.

As part of future concepts bremen, he teaches agile methods and innovative approaches to project management and business model development. Within this transfer project, he supports the implementation of practice-oriented cooperations with regional practice partners and thus supports the transfer activities of the chair. Furthermore, he accompanies and supports Bachelor and Master students as a coach in various courses. He is also actively involved in supervising the “German Founder Award for Pupils” and promotes start-up teaching outside the campus.

He is also involved as a reviewer for conferences such as the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management and the RENT Conference.
