The Faculty of Business Studies and Economics thus honors Professor Sureth-Sloane's outstanding scientific achievements and for the first time recognizes a research personality from the field of business studies.
"Professor Sureth-Sloane has rendered outstanding contributions to the further development of business administration theory, especially in business taxation, and its support by empirical findings. The award also honors her for her contribution to the communication of economic insights to business practice," said the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics at the University of Bremen, Professor Jochen Zimmermann.
Professor Sureth-Sloane thanked the university and the faculty, "This award is a great honor for me. It has always been important to me to make a contribution with my research – to the scientific community and to practice. This special honor means a lot to me and encourages me to continue on this path."
The ceremony took place on Thursday, June 2, 2022 in the Fly Deck at the Teerhof Bremen. The laudatory speech was given by Professor Franz Jürgen Marx, Professor of Taxation and Auditing at the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics.
