Together with its newly founded India Chapter, the Alumni Association of the University of Bremen held an online conference (in English) on November 12, 2021 under the topic " Exploring Ways to Sustainability - Learning Experiences from India and Germany". The conference focused on the exchange of experiences between Germany and India regarding decentralized sanitation, future urban mobility, and hydrogen as an energy carrier of the future. In each session, a speaker from Bremen and India presented corresponding projects and strategies.

Tobias Wendler gave a presentation entitled "Bremen as a future hydrogen hub in Germany". In addition to the overarching developments at the national and northern German level, the presentation focused in particular on the transformation process in Bremen itself, as well as challenges on the way to implementation. Based on the mutual presentations, the participants discussed the possibilities of exchange between Germany and India.
