ZMML workshop "Legal aspects of digitalization in teaching" on June 24, 2024, from 13:30 to 15:00 (Zoom)
On Monday, June 24 2024, from 13:30–15:00, we are once again organizing a workshop on "Legal Issues on Digitalization in Teaching" with the expert Prof. Dr. Iris Kirchner-Freis, LL.M.Eur. for lecturers at the University of Bremen.
Since March 1, 2018, §§ 60a to 60f UrhG have been in place, which provide for extensive permission-free use of copyrighted materials for teaching and research purposes. At the University of Bremen, lecturers and students use the Stud.IP learning platform, the Uni Bremen blog farm, portfolio systems, create learning videos for their courses and participate in web conferences such as Zoom and BigBlueButton for teaching purposes. They produce open educational resources (OER) and want to guarantee legally compliant handling of AI-generated content.
In this workshop, you will learn how you can make copyright-protected materials available to students in a legally compliant manner and what you need to consider in this regard when creating and providing teaching and learning materials. This event is also directed at student employees who support teaching.
Speaker: Prof. Dr. Iris Kirchner-Freis, LL.M.Eur (Director of the Institute for IT, Media and Intellectual Property Law (MLS LEGAL) and author of the copyright decision aid.
The event will take place on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 13:30 - 15:00 in Zoom.
We kindly ask you to register on the ZMML website (https://www.uni-bremen.de/zmml) by June 20, the access data will be communicated by e-mail after the registration deadline.
