Job description

We are looking for a junior researcher (f/m/d) who is interested in the further development of the subject area "Religion and Education" with a focus on pluralistic religious processes and their didactic reflection within and outside schools. A special focus of the advertised position should be the subject area "Religion-related racism, anti-Semitism and education". The post-holder will develop a research project in the field of the didactics of religion from a Study of Religion perspective, preferably with reference to racism and/or anti-Semitism, and will be involved in basic research on didactics in relation to cultural studies and the study of religion. The post-holder will develop a specific teaching and research area on the topic of "Religion-related racism and anti-Semitism in educational contexts".

Initially the appointment is for a fixed-term period of four years (pay group 14 TV-L). The fixed term is in accordance with § 2 para. 1 WissZeitVG (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz). Accordingly, only applicants who still have the corresponding number of qualification years in accordance with Section 2 (1) WissZeitVG can be considered. The research and academic teaching responsibilities will be carried out independently within the framework of the Bremen Higher Education Act (§ 24 para. 2). The teaching load is based on the Teaching Obligation and Teaching Record Ordinance (Lehrverpflichtungs- und Lehrnachweisverordnung); it amounts to four hours of teaching in the capacity of Researcher (before permanent appointment) and nine hours of teaching in the capacity of Senior Researcher (after permanent appointment).

The post-holder will represent the field of the Study of Religion with a focus on "Related Didactics / Religion and Education", primarily in the school-based, but also in the non-school-based degree programmes of the Institute (BA, MA).
