On 22 February 2012, the non-profit KELLNER & STOLL FOUNDATION FOR CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENT was established as the first trust foundation under the umbrella of the University of Bremen Foundation. Its purpose is to promote science and research. The foundation's purpose is to be realised in particular through the promotion of research and teaching at the University of Bremen, including the promotion of young academics
in the fields of environmental protection and resource conservation,
climate change and climate protection and
renewable energies and related fields of research and teaching.
