The Master course German Studies deepens the contents and reflexions of the BA course and provides scholarship in the whole field of German Studies, especially focusing
german literature in the european middle ages,
modern german literature and aesthetics and
language, minds, and media.

For inclusion in a master's degree is the completion of studies at the Bachelor's level requirement.
The subject-specific entry requirements are set out in the current Aufnahme-/Zulassungsordnung (admission regulations).

In the programm there are
three different fields of specialization, each with two modules: "German Literature in the European Middle Ages", "Modern German Literature and Aesthtetics", and "Language - Mind - Media",
a broad field of interdisciplinary perspectives of German Studies with four modules
and finally an optional module "Practical Experience and Key Skills".
These eleven modules can be studied every Semester. Students have to chose six of them freely. So the program is very pliable.
The MA is finished by the module "Master Thesis".
