The symposium is being organized by the U Bremen Research Alliance in cooperation with JUST ADD AI, the Transfer Center for Artificial Intelligence BREMEN.AI, and the Integrated Health Campus Bremen (IGB). The latest developments and innovative approaches in the field of artificial intelligence for healthcare will be presented at the event. Additionally, the future of healthcare and the transformative contribution of digital technologies, especially AI, will be discussed. The symposium brings together experts from academia, politics, business, and industry for a joint dialog and for the transfer of knowledge to society.
The agenda for Monday, December 2 and Tuesday, December 3 includes numerous sessions on topics such as digital public health, challenges posed by the AI Act, as well as robotics and rehabilitation. The symposium will conclude with a panel discussion on the topic of “Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Health and Resilience?” ("Künstliche Intelligent für nachhaltige Gesundheit und Resilienz?"). Speakers include Professor Gerhard Hindricks, Acting Clinical Director of Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin; Professor Ralf Kuhlen, Chief Medical Officer of the Fresenius Group; Professor Lars Schaade, President of the Robert Koch Institute; and Professor Iris Pigeot, Director of the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology - BIPS. Numerous other researchers from the University of Bremen will be participating, including University President Professor Jutta Günther; Marvin Wright, Professor of Machine Learning in Statistics; Horst Hahn, Professor of Digital Medicine; and Rainer Fechte-Heinen, Professor of Materials Engineering/Metals.
