In 2013, she com- pleted her PhD on the Careers of Men and Women in the 19th and 20th Centuries at the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology, Utrecht University. Schulz has been a visiting scholar at the Center for Demography and Ecology (CDE), University of Wisconsin-Madison, a fellow at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZIF) at Bielefeld University, as well as an academic councilor at Bielefeld University. Within her research, she works on the life chances of men and women, especially in relation to inequality in education, income, and careers.
