Christmas Chemistry Lecture Presents Gummy Bears in Hell

XXL sparklers and homemade fireworks are part of the traditional Christmas chemistry lecture. The event will take place on December 11, 2024 at the University of Bremen. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. and admission is free.

The traditional public lecture is a real crowd-puller every December. In more than 20 experiments, Jens Beckmann, Dr. Emanuel Hupf, Sarah Marz, and Zaki Warsame will send gummy bears to hell, turn cigarettes into welding torches with the help of liquid oxygen, and show tricks with dry ice.

Admission Is Free

All experiments are explained in a way that is easy to understand and the event is suitable for children of primary school age and older. We recommend that young children and sensitive people bring hearing protection.
