The prize was awarded to a total of 46 persons who are active in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) during a virtual ceremony in July. Around 20,000 STEM ambassadors across Germany work as part of the “MINT Zukunft schaffen!” initiative in order to win over young people for careers in STEM fields. The initiative places a focus on inspiring school pupils for the disciplines and on motivating, supporting, and honoring schools in STEM areas.
