One doctoral thesis and one master's thesis will be awareded the prize and will receive a total of 3,000 euros. Theses from all faculties of the University of Bremen can be submitted. The prizes will be awarded on May 14, 2020.
The award will be given by KELLNER & STOLL-STIFTUNG FÜR KLIMA UND UMWELT, the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT), the University of Bremen and the Alumni der Universität Bremen e.V. Bremen-based companies ADLER Solar, REETEC and ecolo are supporting the award ceremony.
What Are the Nomination Requirements for the Theses?
Theses that strengthen sustainable research with their distinctive approaches, methods, results and practical relevance can be nominated. The work must have been evaluated by the time of nomination and the doctoral or master’s degree at the University of Bremen must have been obtained in the last two years (graduation after August 31, 2017).
Who Can Nominate?
Eligible to enter a nomination for the CAMPUS AWARD are scientific staff at the University of Bremen (professors, adjunct lecturers - PDs, lecturers and others eligible to supervise PhD and master theses) as well as scientific staff at an institution associated with the University according to § 96 of “Bremisches Hochschulgesetz”. A direct application from graduates is not possible.
