Bernd Scholz-Reiter took over the reins in April from Professor Peter-André Alt, who stepped down prematurely from his post. He will hold the position until a new HRK President has been elected. The new election is scheduled for the 36th HRK General Assembly on May 9, 2023, in Trier.
Peter-André Alt resigned from office prematurely on March 31, having taken over the establishment of a new science foundation in Berlin as Chairman of the Executive Board on April 1, 2023.
