Study description
The broad spectrum of modern music styles is the subject of academic analysis, didactical reflection and music practice. The programme aims to create a better understanding of music. Studies pursue an interdisciplinary approach that takes into account the historical, regional and cultural contexts of the emergence, dissemination and appropriation of music. The academic programme is delivered in close cooperation with the Hochschule für Künste. Students of Music Teaching are trained for teaching careers at primary and secondary schools, including Gymnasien.
