YUFE supports departmental activities

For 2024, funding of up to €5,000 is possible - subject to the State of Bremen approving funds. A wide variety of measures can be funded that anchor YUFE more deeply in the department, increase visibility or strengthen exchanges with YUFE partner universities.

We would like to support the departments and subjects in their activities for YUFE with this call for proposals!
 

What can be funded?

Measures can be funded that anchor YUFE more deeply in your subject, increase the visibility of YUFE or strengthen the exchange with YUFE partner universities. 
We would also like to support activities to make courses more flexible (e.g. virtual, hybrid, English-language), which are then opened up to YUFE.

Measures that lead to a stable range of courses in the YUFE contexts (e.g. in the YUFE Course Catalogue or as a YUFE Minor) are particularly interesting. In the case of alliance-wide exchanges, at least two other partner universities should be involved.

This is an example list:

  • Acquisition of technical equipment to promote virtual and hybrid teaching in the YUFE context.
  • Funds for translating teaching units into English to make them attractive in the YUFE context.
  • Funds for didactic support of teaching settings to make them more accessible for YUFE students.
  • Student assistants (SHKs) to support your YUFE activities (e.g. administrative or organizational for workshops, collaborations and courses).
  • Teaching assignments that lead to offers in the YUFE Course Catalogue.
  • Start-up funding for the development of an application for a Blended Intensive Program (Erasmus+) within the YUFE Alliance.
  • Organization and moderation of YUFE networking meetings/workshops and their catering (daily flat rate).
  • Printing and design costs related to YUFE.
     

What cannot be funded?

  • Travel costs for individual mobility (please note the options that Erasmus+ offers for both students and staff)
  • Technical equipment for staff (e.g. work laptops)
  • Staff costs other than student assistants (SHKs)
     

Further steps and amount of funds?

Please let us know about your plans by August 11, 2024 at the latest by email to philipp.baur@vw.uni-bremen.de and svenja.renner@vw.uni-bremen.de. The application (max. 1 page as a PDF file) should contain the concrete planned purchases/expenditure in detail. What is the aim of the measure? Which YUFE partner universities are involved? How will the measure be implemented (schedule)?

You can apply for a total of up to €5,000 and present both refinancing (from January 2024) and future projects up to the end of this year.

Invoices and proof of expenditure must be from 2024.
