Day of Teaching

The Day of Teaching takes place annually at the University of Bremen as Dies Academicus with events in the faculties and a central event.

There are no courses on the Dies Academicus. You will have time to discuss topics such as the quality of teaching and the development of study programs in the departments or in other suitable constellations. As every year, the morning is reserved for decentralized events. This year, the central part in the afternoon will be dedicated entirely to the topic of generative artificial intelligence, as this also has a strong impact on teaching.

This development also requires a high degree of willingness and time from the university's teaching staff members to engage with AI and find a good way of dealing with it. Therefore, all teaching staff members have the opportunity to use the afternoon for their individual qualification.

For this purpose, members of the university have access to the self-learning courses "Fundamentals of AI in university teaching with a focus on ChatGPT" and "Examinations and performance assessments in a world with generative AI tools" (in German).
