University Welcomes Exchange Students

100 exchange students have come to the University of Bremen for the 2025 summer semester. At a welcome breakfast hosted by the International Office, they were able to network and learn more about the university.

“Studying abroad encompasses more than just seminars. It is also about getting to know a new academic culture and gaining fresh perspectives academically and beyond. So take your time to explore our campus, participate in student initiatives, and meet classmates from all over the world,” said Dr. Mandy Boehnke, Vice President for International Affairs, Academic Qualification, and Diversity, welcoming the students.

Afterwards, the students learned more about the services offered by the International Office, the Goethe Institute, the Language Centre, the Erasmus Initiative, the kompass international team, and the Senior Citizens group.

17 of the 100 exchange students this semester come from Turkey. Many also travelled from Italy, France, Kazakhstan, Spain, Ukraine, and the USA. Overall, the students come from 30 countries.
