On August 2, the 28th Corona Ordinance of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen will come into effect and the introduction of the 3G rule at Bremen’s universities will commence. All students, staff, and visitors of the University of Bremen must be vaccinated, recovered, or tested in order to gain access to the campus. Those who are vaccinated must be fully vaccinated and 14 days must have passed since the second jab. Persons who have recovered from COVID-19 and have not been vaccinated require proof of a positive PCR test, which is valid in the period from 28 days after said test to a maximum of six months after the test. A negative corona test must be a rapid test or PCR test no older than 24 hours. Self-tests do not suffice.
Status Checks at Building Entryways
The status of students, staff, and visitors will be checked by security staff at building entryways. No data will be recorded or saved.
Summer Semester Will Be Completed as Planned
Summer semester classes and exams will be carried out as planned. The known hygiene and contact-tracking regulations apply. It also remains obligatory that a mask be worn in the buildings.
Vaccination without Prior Appointment Possible
From August 2 to 8, the Bürgerweide vaccination center is offering a vaccination to all Bremen citizens without prior appointment. Those who wish to make use of this must take their ID card, health insurance card, and vaccination booklet with them.
