The course is divided into three modules: in the introductory module, the educational experiences of the participants are first exchanged and a personal assessment of the situation is worked out and classified sociologically in the educational landscape. In the theory module, concepts of the social and political sciences and theoretical approaches are developed. In addition, participants will be able to present concepts and theories from their countries of origin, which will then be compared with European approaches. As a third interdisciplinary module, the German language will be further improved, especially with regard to terminology used in the social sciences. The course will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays from May to November 2019.
If you successfully complete in the course, you can then attend the two-year continuing education course for basic education in social sciences established at the Centre for Labour and Political Education (zap). With this, it is possible to acquire a limited university entrance qualification.
