Im Institut für Ökologie der Universität Bremen sind derzeit drei Arbeitsgruppen zusammengeschlossen. Das Institut ist vom Grundsatz her offen: andere, inhaltlich interessierte Abteilungen und MitarbeiterInnen der Universität sind herzlich eingeladen beizutreten oder zu den Aktivitäten beizutragen. Wesentliche Ziele des Instituts sind:
- Arbeitsgruppenübergreifender Informationsaustausch
- Gegenseitige Unterstützung und Information in methodischen Fragen
- Bildung von Arbeitskreisen
- Synergistische Effekte durch Koordination von Forschungsvorhaben
- Abstimmung und Kooperation in der Lehre
- Erarbeitung von interdisziplinären Forschungsvorhaben und Drittmittelanträgen
The Institute for Ecology (ECO) at the University of Bremen integrates three groups at the moment. The ECO has an open policy: other interested departments and members of the university are invited to join in or to pay contributions in ECO activities. Main aims of the institute are:
- Information-exchange on various aspects of ecology
- Interdisciplinary support, methodical questions
- Establishment of working groups
- Synergetic effects by coordinating research-projects
- Coordination and co-operation in teaching
- Formulation of interdisciplinary research projects and "Third-Party Fund"-applications
