Infos zum Studium ohne Abitur
Students of Jurisprudence acquire competences in law. This includes gaining an understanding of how the law functions, together with its methods and effectiveness - and once in possession of this knowledge, being able to apply legal rules to social, political and economic issues.
During the first academic year the fokus is put on the basic legal principles of law as well as the German constitutional law.
From the second academic year on the students specialize in one subject area of law: civil law, criminal law or public law.
Each module concludes with a module-specific examination.
The degree course in Jurisprudence (together with the social and economic sciences) prepares students for specialist and leadership careers at national and international levels in both the private as well as the state sphere.
!!!! Jurisprudence as an area programm studied as a subsidiary subject does not qualify students for the first state examination, which is prerequisite for pursuing a "classical" career in the field of law.
