Studiengangsbeschreibung

In sociology, societies and human behavior are scientifically researched. It analyzes how people interact with each other, build social structures, and how this affects daily life. Students learn to understand, explain, and find solutions to societal challenges related to social phenomena. Themes of social inequality, identity, power, and social change are central.

What sets sociology programs apart is the in-depth training in empirical social research methods. This means students learn systematic techniques to collect data and gain evidence-based insights in social sciences.

By selecting Subdisziplines of Sociology students can tailor their studies individually, ranging from labor, family, or life course sociology to educational sociology and sociology of migration and integration.
