With the aim of “building bridges” across faculties and institutes we encourage early-career researchers to boost their careers through interdisciplinary exchange.
In the workshop, invited keynote presentations will pave the way for short lightning talks (approx. 4 min) and extended poster-sessions to allow open discussions and networking.
Additionally, we will provide supportive contributions from
- MAPEX Core Facility for Materials Analytics
- MAPEX doctoral qualification programme
- Data Train–Training in Research Data Management and Data Science
A final highlight will be the talks by two newly appointed professors at the University of Bremen, giving insights into their science as well as their career paths.
After a day full of science and networking, the day will close with a social activity.
The workshop is a good platform for you if you would like to …
- get in touch with peers, build up your own network of experts,
- learn from others, think outside the box,
- open doors to other experts – become aware of the huge potential for mutual support that you can access on the short way,
- develop ideas for cooperative research projects,
- get to know how MAPEX and the MAPEX Core Facility can support your research.
For a poster and lightning talk contribution, we ask you to hand in short abstracts explaining the main features of your work via our online registration form.
